ArcGIS Online is a cloud-based mapping program freely available to all Wyoming K-12 schools. GIS is a proven method to help students gain 21st century technical skills for further education or employment. It provides the background knowledge and analytic skills for tackling local and global challenges. Learn ways to incorporate this free ArcGIS Online School account into your classroom. We will explore lesson plans provided by ArcGIS, plans created by other Wyoming educators and more. Bring a laptop to participate in this interactive session. Makerspaces on a Dime: Adding Innovation Opportunities without Breaking the Budget (AdvancED Indicators: 3.2, 3.3, 3.10)

Makerspaces provide the tools and space to allow students to collaborate and share knowledge. This hands-on session will provide lots of examples and ideas for adding innovation opportunities via Makerspaces to your space! (AdvancED Indicators: 3.2, 3.3, 3.10).

Learn about differentiated instruction and develop great ideas to take back to your classroom. This interactive session will provide strategies to incorporate differentiation concepts into your classroom along with providing great tools to facilitate the process. The session supports the Standards for Quality School Systems: Standard 3 - Teaching and Assessing for Learning. Please bring a laptop or tablet to participate in this session. TIE Preview of the 2016-17 Wyoming Principal Leadership Academy (Addresses AdvancED Indicators 1.4, 3.7, 4.8, 5.2, 5.3, 5.4)

If you are interested in the 2016-17 Wyoming Principal Leadership Academy (a partnership between TIE and WyCEL with endorsement from WDE), you are invited to this sneak preview event. This session will discuss the big takeaways and creations of the inaugural Wyoming Principal Leadership Academy (2015-16) and what participants have to look forward to in the upcoming year (starting in mid-October). The Academy will focus on Continuous School Improvement with an emphasis on the Standards for Quality School Systems: Standard 1 - Purpose and Direction, Standard 3 - Teaching and Assessing for Learning, and Standard 5 - Using Results for Continuous Improvement. Wyoming Principal Leadership Academy attendees will increase skills for leading professional conversations, will gain access to online tools with processes for analyzing school data for continuous improvement, and will enhance technology skills for personal and professional growth. (Addresses AdvancED Indicators 1.4, 3.7, 4.8, 5.2, 5.3, 5.4).
